It has been a whirlwind week for us. Want to know why? Here’s a riddle to help you figure it out: We both have sore muscles, to-do lists a mile long and a new set of keys… WE MOVED! And as of yesterday around 4 p.m., all the boxes have been unpacked. Whew!
As busy as it’s been, Nathan and I could NOT be more thrilled with our new place. We went from a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment to a two-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom town home.
It has been so fun to get more settled in here each day, and we feel so grateful for the timing of the move. Since Nathan hasn’t started classes yet for the semester, he was able to do a ton of stuff to get us all settled in while I worked this week. It’s been awesome!
I took some before and after photos to share, and while we are still waiting on a few finishing touches, the place is in decent enough shape to put on the blog (I think).
So those are all “before”…before a week of unpacking, assembling and sorting.
Ready to see what we’ve done with the place so far? Here come the “afters”…
Our half bath downstairs has a green toilet. We weren’t sure how we would decorate with that, but I like how it’s turned out so far!
There you have it – the tour of our new abode. We are still waiting on a bookcase and rug for the living room, and we’re also going to get a rug for the study. Other than that, we just need to hang our wall art and we will be all set!
Off to the side of our town home is this little spot. I foresee us spending a lot of time out here unwinding at the end of a long day…or a long week like this one.We can’t wait for family and friends to come see it in person, but we hope that this glimpse into our new place gives you all a peek at what it’s like from a distance! And our door is always open for family visits 🙂
