We are on the brink of Nathan’s first round of exams for the school year, which means a lot of studying is going on around here. We’ve still made time for some fun though!

On Saturday, Don + Jo came over to help us with some projects around the house. The Lundys gave us a leather chair for the living room that goes really well with the couch, but it had a few nicks here and there. Jo helped patch up some of the spots with paint and a hot iron. I never knew you could do that!

2014-09-21 11.26.27Good as new 🙂 We love having a nice chair in the living room and are so grateful to the Lundys for letting us have this one. It looks great, and now our guests have a nice place to sit and visit!

Jo also helped with a few spots on the couch while she was here – it was so awesome to have her help and it made such a difference!

Nathan and I also worked on getting my diploma hung in the study on Saturday afternoon. We found a matching frame for it last weekend at Bed Bath & Beyond and got it up side-by-side with his.

2014-09-20 15.57.20Ta-da – two IU grads in the house! It’s fun to think about someday when there will be a medical school diploma hanging up there too 🙂

Other than that, we have had some GORGEOUS weather lately. I couldn’t resist snapping some photos during one of my runs this weekend.

  1. Love the new furniture! And your rug! I hadn’t seen it before! Looks like you all are settling in nicely to your new(ish) apartment!

  2. Thanks sis! I should do an updated home tour – we’ve added a few more little touches (like the rug) that have really helped make it feel like home 🙂

  3. Wow, I am leaving a comment! Loved this blog, the trail looks very inviting. By the way, can you sleep in the new chair too?

    1. The trail is calling our names! I need my running buddy up here sometime 🙂 I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I fall asleep in the new chair. Not sure it’s as powerful as the couch, though!
