We had such a fun weekend together! I can’t believe it’s already the last couple weeks of October. I know time flies by this time of year but geeze… it seems to be going faster and faster these days! We made sure to take advantage of this month for all it’s worth over the weekend. (I debated whether it is more proper to use it’s vs. its there…but I guess either way you know what I mean:))
Friday kicked off with an afternoon run together. After a couple days of sitting around inside, getting outdoors together felt great. Nathan has been joining me at least once a week for a run – if not twice, like this past week!
We didn’t have much time between the run and our date for the evening, so we cleaned up and got ready to go as quickly as we could.
Last weekend at home, my parents had given us a Halloween treat bag (more accurately: bags) full of candy and festive decorations. They also snuck in a gift card to Chick-fil-A! I had just been telling my mom earlier about the new one that opened in Indy and how Nate and I had been wanting to go… We are spoiled 🙂 We knew we had to work a Chick-fil-A date into our plans soon, so Friday night, that was calling our names!
We took our Chick-fil-A to go and ate it at the last home football game for Carmel High School. I’d asked Nathan if he would want to go to one with me sometime this season, and Friday night was the night!
It was a lot of fun for me to see where Nathan used to play football in high school, and also a lot of fun just to be at a high school game this time of year. It brought back so many memories of Friday nights at home. The teams were just a little better than the ones I grew up watching though 😉
Oh – and Carmel won! But it was a close one ’til the end.
Our other weekend date plans got rained out and replaced with napping + Netflix on Saturday afternoon. We had wanted to go to a pumpkin patch but decided that waiting for a sunnier and drier day would probably make that much more enjoyable 😉 A nap and some TV time were just as fun, and we even got to celebrate Tim’s birthday that night, which made Saturday a great day altogether.
Hope October has been just as enjoyable so far for you all!
