We celebrated Christmas a tad early this year…
I wanted to get tickets to a Colts game for Nathan this year, and I was able to find some for the game on November 23 against the Jaguars. Lucky for me, Nathan was more than happy to celebrate the holiday a little early for this 🙂
The timing with his test block meant that we really got to enjoy the whole day – no nagging studying to interfere with the fun! We started off “Christmas” with some peanut butter banana pancakes at home…
…Plus a mug of coffee in the lucky Colts mug!
There was a beautiful National Anthem. The concertmaster for the Indianapolis Symphony played it – I wish they would have musicians do that more often! It was chilling.
Our seats were in the top section, but Nathan didn’t seem to mind. He seemed thrilled just to be there, which made me SO happy! We both also enjoyed the atmosphere of the higher section. There were a lot of families in our section and everyone was so nice and friendly. It was refreshing after some other experiences we’ve had in the past where fans got ornery or rowdy. This was more our style!
We both loved spending the day together, and the Colts won! The first half was a little shaky, but they turned it around in the second half and it was a lot of fun to watch. I especially liked when they were on our end of the field.
The day was so much fun that we hope to make this a tradition during our years in Indy. Overall, our first married Christmas is off to a wonderful start! I can’t wait to see what else the holiday season brings.
