Happy New Year!

The only way 2015 can top 2014 is that I get to spend all 365 days married to Nate this time around. We’re both excited to start our first full year of married life together!

With that in mind, it’s January 2nd – so how are those resolutions coming? We’ve begun our first memorization verse of the year, and in case anyone wants to follow along, I’ll share it here:

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16

We’re both enjoying throwing out pop quizzes to each other on the verse at random times. Plus I just love having the verse in the back of my mind, especially as I think about my own gifts (my “light”) and how I can nurture those and grow more into the person Christ wants me to be in the new year.

In other news, I did yoga for the first time in over 7 months today and can barely lift my arms now. So – slow and steady will be the name of the game when it comes to working on that particular resolution 😉

Hope you all have had a great start to 2015! What are some of the things you’d like to work on in the coming year?
