2016 has been such a fun year for us! We are happy to report an 11/12 for our resolution to try a new restaurant each month, but there were a few times we tried more than one new place in a month, so it all evens out right? Either way, I’d give us an A+!
This resolution was perfect for this phase in our lives. It pushed us to explore our city more, have intentional date nights, and branch out with new foods. Two things I love about Nathan are his willingness to try new things and his appreciation for a good meal. We have our priorities in order around here 😉

Needless to say, it’s been a great year!
We have grand plans to make 2017 even better. Our resolution for the coming year is to try 1 new recipe each month. With how busy everything will be with the transition to residency, we think this is an achievable yet challenging goal! Consistency is key 🙂
We will alternate who gets to choose the recipe and then cook it together as much as possible. Our hope is that this will get us in the kitchen together more, help us to branch out and be creative with our meals, allow us to slow down and savor time at home, and improve our cooking skills too. We dream about being able to host awesome dinner parties where we can make really impressive dishes for all our friends and family one day, so this is a stepping stone toward making that a reality.
